Hip-Hop Dance ConservatoryThe vision guiding the Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory, Inc. is one of creating an educated, diverse, highly-skilled Hip-Hop dance professional who is capable of handling the rigors of the performance industry at large with a finesse and depth of character that is paradigm for all within the dance community to follow.

HDC in its efforts to enhance quality and integrity of education in Hip-Hop dance will provide monetary assistance to the development of Hip-Hop dance education programs nationwide. Increasing a dancer's pedagogical and professional viability is our primary responsibility. Reinforcing a student's educational and social repsonsibility, in an effort to avoide the pitfalls of molding the typical avaricious Hip-Hop generation cynosure that has no career logevity.

The empowerment and sense of self that follow is a kairotic moment or a moment of truth where they develop a resolve and moral fiber that will become the focal point of their life in stark contrast to materialistic pursuance.

5 Year Prospectus:

  • To expand federal and private funding of Hip-Hop dance education, research and training.
  • To promote the advancement of teaching and research in Hip-Hop dance within the academic evironment.
  • To encourage and implement educational programs to meet the diverse interests and career opportunities in professional Hip-Hop dance, regardless of age, gender or race.
  • To participate in teh development and implementation of public policies and procedures concerned with Hip-Hop dance education.
  • To facilitate and promote positive public policy and professional ethical behavior by providing ongoing peer review and quality assurance programs via the accreditation of Hip-Hop dance academic programs and dance companies.
  • To increase visibility and enhance the image and feasibility of Hip-Hop dance as a profession. In turn denouncing success within Hip-Hop dance as merely adventitious.
  • To represent dancers whose professional work is mainly industry and education related, and to help ensure that music industry and arts representatives and legislators understand their work and the needs of the Hip-Hop dance professional.
